If I had to choose a sentence to describe myself, then I would pick “passionate and creative free-spirit”.

Ever since I can remember I have been a creative and artistic individual, from picking up my first drawing book as a child to writing my first novel as an adult (no, it hasn’t been published yet). I bring passion, drive, and determination to environments that empower me in living out my creativity.

I have been a marketer for over 9 years and am passionate about community building and helping small businesses and entrepreneurs to reach a larger, actively engaged audience. I previously worked at Yelp as a Senior City Manager and in this role drove its community to grow exponentially in my hometown of Frankfurt, Germany. I have helped leading organizations and entrepreneurs to grow their communities in various fields, ranging from non-profits to software companies to drink brands.

I hold a B.A. in Communications and have since then expanded my knowledge in marketing next to my career, through further education from the likes of Hubspot and the Wharton School. Throughout my career, I have different achievements of which I am proud of. I lead a team together with the UEFA to organize the Trophy Tour for the Champions League, which was a pretty huge deal back then. I also created a hashtag around the love for my hometown (go check it out: #MeineFrankfurtLiebe) which brought an entire community of like-minded people together (people who also love my hometown) at a very cool Pop-Up Gallery Exhibition. I picked up a small community when I started my job at Yelp, and grew its active user base by times 6 and doubled the number of e-mail subscribers, all in the space of a little over a year. Now that’s pretty awesome, right?

Not only am I passionate about how to create communities, but also truly believe in the positive impact that communities can have. For example, as a Global Shaper of the World Economic Forum, I work heavily on expanding their digital network, connecting corporates with startups as well as organizing diversity and integration projects.

As an entrepreneur and an active member of the startup community in my hometown of Frankfurt, I was selected by Rhein-Main Startups as a ‘Woman who inspires RMS’. I am also a member of the advisory board for Startup Guide, which will soon be published also in Frankfurt.

As a true believer in the value of communities, I want to share my knowledge in this special field with you. So, let me take you on a journey with me, in a world transformed by technology, with a lack of attention-spans, to translate the power of community and social media to you, in an easy-to-grasp way.
